Fall/Winter 2022/2023: The planning team has been working closely with city staff on the draft plan. As soon as the draft is ready for public review, it will be shared on this website and a public open house will be scheduled.
September 28, 2022: The General Plan Advisory Committee met with city staff and the planning team to discuss the public input from the Mayor's Public Safety Breakfast, land use, the new Water Use and Preservation Element required by the state, and economic development.
August 6, 2022: The planning team and city staff attended the Mayor's Public Safety Breakfast, presenting informational boards and a short questionnaire, which was also made available on the project website and distributed through the project email list.
July 27, 2022: City staff and the planning team held a joint meeting with the City Council, Planning Commission and Advisory Committee to review and discuss the refined preliminary land use concepts. The Joint Committee honed in on a preferred preliminary land use concept to present to the public at the Mayor's Public Safety Breakfast.
June 22, 2022: The planning team and city staff presented the existing land use map and the currently-adopted future land use map to the Advisory Committee. Three preliminary land use concepts were presented for review and input, with direction for refinements.
